One feature of the film's poster which is effective is the use of colours in the photo. The picture has been given a black and white effect, as these colours conform to the genre of action films.

The use of making James Bond wear a black and white suit is effective, as it shows that he is a smartly dressed character, which makes him have a high status.

In the picture, James Bond is shown to be walking a through a tunnel with a light background. This shows that he might be walking away from the light. As well as this, Bond is shown to be looking directly at the audience. This is an example of direct mode of address.

The release date of the film is shown at the bottom of the poster, along with the production titles. This is informative to the audience, as it gives them key information of the film.
