Film Magazine Analysis 5:

The magazine for the film shows the two protagonists of the movie Terminator. This film is of the action adventure genre, which is identified by the characters holding guns, and wearing darker clothing. The use of having a male and a female as the two characters on the cover shows that it will appeal to both genders.

The bright red text against a grey coloured background is effective, as it makes it stand out to the audience, by making it clearer  for them to see. Direct mode of address is used by the character, as they are staring straight at the camera. This is used to make the audience feel like they are in contact with the characters on the cover.

The effect of the background being grey and cloudy, looks like there is bad weather. This gives the film a darker mood and atmosphere. The use of addressing the magazine's features on the front cover entreagues the audience, by making them want to read more about it. The use of Arnold Schwarzenegger and his character from the movie on the front cover would make fans of him and of the Terminator film series be attracted to read the magazine.
